About Denise Galt, M.S.W.

I am a licensed clinical social worker and relationship therapist who has been in private practice since 2002. After working in a variety of other professions, I returned to school and completed my education and training to become a therapist. I was inspired by the professional assistance I received in my own development. My specialty in relationships came out of my own challenges in my relationships with my husband and family of origin. I am a Certified Imago Relationship Therapist and have trained in a variety of other clinical approaches.

Experience:

I have been working in the mental health field for 14 years in a variety of different settings. My clinical experience with intensive outpatient programs for substance abuse, hospitals, community counseling centers, and private practice settings contributes to my depth of understanding in treating a wide array of complex problems that people of all ages can face in daily life. I also have considerable training and experience in understanding issues of ethnicity and sexual orientation and how these issues can influence people's lives.
